Over the last 25 years Scartworks has successfully completed many art projects for public and private bodies, artists and designers – demonstrating a role where artists are radically engaged in the community: finding solutions, selecting and interpreting themes that enlarge, enliven and enlighten our experience of the world.
About
Stephen has been a professional artist for more than 25 years. During this time he has worked in many media, developing public art schemes and fulfilling private commissions. His work is informed by a deep sense of place and time born of his upbringing on a Lancashire farm, as well as a passion for exploring the properties of materials and the possibilities they hold within.
Recent works have focused on figurative portraiture including larger than life size statues as well as smaller busts.
To keep control of the whole creative process Stephen has established his own fine art bronze casting foundry. bronzecast.co.uk
